EXHAUST GAS TREATMENT SYSTEM AND ITS OPERATION METHOD OF COAL FIRED BOILER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas treatment system and its operation method of a coal fired boiler efficiently removing mercury in the exhaust gas from the coal fired boiler.

SOLUTION: The exhaust gas treatment system is provided with: an HCl spray device 32 spraying hydrogen chloride 33 into exhaust gas from the coal fired boiler 11 using coal as fuel F; a denitration device 13 removing nitrogen oxides by ammonia denitration by adding ammonia 12 to exhaust gas after hydrogen chloride spraying, and oxidizing mercury; an air preheater 14 recovering heat in the gas after removal of nitrogen oxides; a dust collector 15 removing soot and dust in the gas; an activated carbon atomizer 23 atomizing activated carbon into the gas after dust removal; a bag filter 21 collecting activated carbon after adsorbing mercury; a desulfurizer 16 removing sulfur oxides in the gas after activated carbon removal; a chimney 17 discharging the gas which has undergone desulfurization to the outside; and an ORP meter 19 measuring oxidation/reduction potential for feeding air to slurry absorbing liquid in the desulfurizer 16.
