The invention relates to an expansion joint system of a concrete slab arrange- ment, comprising an expansion joint reinforcement to be arranged between a first and a second concrete slab (1, 2), the expansion joint reinforcement com- prising at least one local or continuous dowel (4) arranged to transfer loads which are perpendicular to the slab plane. A shear reinforcement (9) ora loca- tion (10) for attaching the shear reinforcement hasbeen arranged in advance in the expansion joint reinforcement (4, 7, 8).
