PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire capable of restricting buckling and capable of improving operation stability on snow or the like on a high level at the same time. SOLUTION: A plurality of block lines 5, 6 and 7 are zoned in the tread surface 1 by a plurality of circumferential grooves 2 and 3 continuously extending in the tread circumferential direction and a plurality of cross directional grooves 4 extending in the tread cross direction, crossing the circumferential grooves. A plurality of groove bottom swelling parts 8 and 9 separating the circumferential grooves 2 and 3 from each other and connecting blocks 5a, 6a and 7a, which are opposite to each other in the tread cross direction, to each other are provided inside of the circumferential grooves 2 and 3. These groove bottom swelling parts 8 and 9 are formed by combining the groove bottom swelling parts 8a and 9a, which respectively has only sipes extending in the tread cross direction in the surfaces thereof, with the groove bottom swelling parts 8b and 9b, which respectively does not have a sipe in the surfaces thereof, for arrangement.
