PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a barrel polishing apparatus, reducing the time required for polishing.

SOLUTION: This barrel polishing apparatus 1 includes: a barrel tank 100 housing a gear 10 as a workpiece and enclosing abrasive grains for polishing the gear to freely move; an abrasive grain guide means 110 for accelerating the abrasive grains existing in a space up to the gear along the surface of the gear; and a rotating means 20 for relatively rotating the abrasive grain guide means and the gear.
