PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a black pigment-dispersed glass paste which can form a black matrix giving excellent blackness even in a thin film thickness and provide a black matrix having excellent blackness by using such a black pigment-dispersed glass paste. SOLUTION: The black pigment-dispersed glass paste comprises a photosensitive resin composition (I) having a decomposition temperature of 390-430°C, a glass frit (II) having a melting temperature 50-100°C higher than the decomposition temperature, and a black inorganic pigment (III). Particularly, the photosensitive resin composition (I) contains an alkali-soluble polymer, a photosensitive monomer, and a photoinitiator, and the glass frit (II) has a melting point of 440-530°C.
