PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for production of molded metal pieces. SOLUTION: Disclosed is a method for the production of molded metal pieces, in particular of weight-reduced molded pieces made of metallic materials. A metallic body with a closed all-encompassing surface and an internal hollow structure as a core is placed in a casting mold and a molten metal is poured in around the above by casting.
