<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device having a structure capable of suppressing the leakage of expansion gas from an opening through which a harness passes. <P>SOLUTION: The airbag device 110 for protecting an occupant in a vehicle by inflating and developing an airbag is provided with an inflator 116 which is stored in the airbag and supplies the expansion gas to the air bag, and a harness 122 which is connected to the inflator and supplies power for ignition to the inflator. The airbag is provided with a base cloth 112 inflatable into a bag shape and a reinforcing cloth 118 arranged between the base cloth and the inflator. The reinforced cloth has a first opening 126 through which the harness passes. The base cloth has a second opening 124 through which the harness that passes through the first opening passes.
