PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spigot type pipe joint preventing a packing from being pushed out from a packing fitting groove at the end surface of a connecting pipe, preventing refuse or foreign matter from being caught between the inner peripheral surface of the connecting pipe and the seal portion of the packing, preventing damage to the seal portion, and preventing deterioration of seal performance. SOLUTION: The packing 4 for sealing a portion between the inner periphery of the end of the connecting pipe P and the outer periphery of an inner cylinder 2 is fitted into the packing fitting groove 14 formed in the outer peripheral surface of the inner cylinder 2. The packing 4 is formed with the seal portion 4a projecting radially outward from the outer peripheral surface of the inner cylinder 2 with the packing fitted into the packing fitting groove 14, and a refuse removing/cleaning portion 4b arranged in a position corresponding to the upstream side of the inserting direction of the connecting pipe P from the seal portion 4a and projecting radially outward from the outer peripheral surface of the inner cylinder 2.
