PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the illuminance of an EEFL lamp by a simple method not by complicated adjustment of a secondary voltage of an inverter part, and to adjust the illuminance of the EEFL lamp using a dimming function to realize stepless adjustment of the illuminance. SOLUTION: The inverter part 31 for applying AC power on both sides of the EEFL lamp 10 for starting and lighting the EEFL lamp 10 is provided. A DC power source part 30 converting the AC power to DC power and supplying the DC power to the inverter part 31 as the power source is provided. A volume VR is provided on the DC power supply part 30 as a voltage varying means varying the DC voltage supplied to the inverter part 31 to vary the illuminance of the external electrode fluorescent lamp 10. The volume VR is varied to increase and decrease an output voltage Vo to raise and lower an output voltage from the inverter part 31, thereby dimming the EEFL lamp 10. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
