PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a static eliminator of low cost and easy to maintain. SOLUTION: The static eliminator 10 is provided with a fan 12, discharge needles 13 fitted at an outer periphery part of wind sent by the fan 12 for granting the wind with given ions, a ring-shaped sensor electrode 14 fitted so as to surround a passage of the wind granted with the ions for detecting potentials of the wind granted with the ions, and a control part for controlling high voltage impressed on the discharge needles 13 based on the potentials detected by the sensor electrode 14.
