摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably generate highly coherent supercontinium light including a visible wavelength region. SOLUTION: The light source generates the supercontinium light including the visible wavelength region. The supercontinium light source is constituted of: a fiber laser 10 which generates coherent pulse light; a fiber amplifier 20 which inputs the pulse light output by the fiber laser to amplify the pulse light; a compensation fiber 30 with negative distribution characteristics for compensating time spreading by wavelength distribution of the pulse light output by the fiber amplifier to narrow down pulse width; nonlinear crystal 40 which inputs the pulse light output by the compensation fiber to set wavelength of the pulse light to a half; and a high nonlinear optical fiber 50 which inputs the pulse light output by the nonlinear crystal to convert the pulse light into the supercontinium light by a nonlinear optical effect.
