The device (104) has an input device (201) e.g. mouse, for accepting an operating input. A memory (203) stores parameters of a hearing aid (101) in each pre-determined surrounding switching step. A controller (202) controls the parameters in each surrounding switching step. A display (204) displays information about the parameters. The input device accepts multiple surrounding switching steps and operates one of the surrounding switching steps. The controller collectively converts the parameters in the selected switching step based on the operation accepted by the input device. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a hearing aid comprising a communication device for receiving a signal (2) a program comprising a set of instructions for executing functions of a hearing aid adjusting device.
