<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical microwave conversion apparatus where power source efficiency is large, and the distortion of an output signal is small. <P>SOLUTION: The optical microwave conversion apparatus comprises: an optical signal generating part 1 for generating an optical signal which is intensity-modulated in a half-wave rectification shape by the frequency of a microwave; electric signal generating parts (3, 5, 6, 7, 21) including a photodiode 3 which allows an optical signal intensity-modulated in the optical signal generating part 1 to be incident so as to output an electric signal since a reverse bias voltage is applied, and outputting the electric signal corresponding to the optical signal by branching it in two; and microwave synthetic output parts (4, 22) each giving a phase difference to one of the branched electric signals which corresponds to the half-period portion of the microwave with respect to the other electric signal, performing synthesis so as to allow the one electric signal and the other electric signal to be mutually opposite in phase, and outputting a microwave electric signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
