PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a hermetically sealed component, capable of removing oxidized scale on the surface of stainless steel of the hermetically sealed component, made of the stainless steel and calcined glass by a hydrogen reduction action and manufacturing the high-quality hermetic seal component, without destroying the surface organization specific to metals. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for a hermetically sealed component formed by the stainless steel, calcined glass, and a lead pin comprises a first process of forming a hermetically sealed component 4 by sealing the glass, since temperature of the stainless steel, the glass, and the lead pin is raised to sealing temperature of the glass in an inert gas atmosphere; and a second process of reducing the surface the stainless steel by raising the temperature of the formed hermetically sealed component 4 to reduction temperature in a hydrogen gas atmosphere.
