PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminaire which can be also used in an emergency, being kept on for a certain period of time even during blackout, with a circuit having a small number of part items. SOLUTION: The luminaire that can be also used in an emergency comprises a light source comprising a plurality of light emitting elements, connected in series, which are applied with DC voltage, and a capacitor connected in parallel to one or a plurality of light emitting elements among the plurality of light emitting elements. It can be kept on for a certain period of time during blackout by supplying a current from the capacitor to keep the on state of the light source for a certain period of time when supply of power from an external power source is interrupted, with a circuit comprising a small number of part items.
