PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor integrated circuit device to which a nonvolatile memory and a volatile memory of a serial interface in which a boot program and a main program are stored are connected, for preventing external components from being increased, and for shortening a design period, and for preventing reticle costs from being generated in upgrading a boot program. SOLUTION: A system LSI2 provided with a boot loader 8 as an interface for a serial Flash memory 3, is configured to read a boot program from the serial Flash memory 3, to perform the read boot program, and to copy the main program in the serial Flash memory 3 to an SDRAM 4.
