PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispersant excellent in dispersibility, flowability and storage stability in a low use amount, also excellent in the compatibility with a dispersing medium, low in crystallinity and good in handling. SOLUTION: The dispersant is prepared by bonding at least one kind of a polymer unit selected from polyester, polyether and poly(meth)acrylate to a unit having an acidic group and characterized in that its weight average molecular weight is 500-50,000 and its intrinsic viscosity in 2-acetoxy-1-methoxypropane is 6.5-15.
