MANAGEMENT METHOD IN NETWORK WHERE CONTENTS ARE DELIVERED AND RECEIVING TERMINAL DEVICE

Users' remote control operations are stored and users' tastes are sought from trends of programs that the users view, so that turns of programs provided with a conventional zapping function are contents in order of high priority as a recommendation level. This conventional method has an effect to provide programs in order of the programs that meet users' viewing trends against simple channel order switching. The conventional method has such a problem, however, that it cannot provide a selecting method for switching order of popular programs that many people view at the present. This object aims to provide a program selecting method that collects information of programs that are viewed and switches channels in accordance with the number of people who view programs. A contents delivery system is comprised of a network device that has a contents server, a viewing information processing means for processing viewing information based on a receiving request from an image receiving device, and a means for notifying an audience rate server of the viewing information; and a audience rate server that obtains a audience rate from the viewing information received from the network device.
