A method of communicating with a network in a wireless communication system is disclosed. More specifically, the method includes performing handover by a mobile station (MS) from a first cell (A) to a second cell (B), and measuring signal strengths of neighboring cells by the MS after moving to the second cell (B) using the at least one default value if at least one parameter is not provided from the second cell (B).
