<p>The invention relates to an electromagnetic pulse generator with field concentrator, used for manufacturing a conventional electromagnetic bomb. According to the invention, the generator comprises a field coil (1) wound on a field concentrator (2) provided with a radial slot (3), an inner threshold (4) and a progressive short-circuiting system (5) in the shape of a conducting key, the field coil (1) being supplied by the damped discharge of a capacitor bank (6), a magnetic field being generated due to the radial slot (3), said magnetic field being intense in the cylindrical volume confined by the inner threshold, the energy of volume confined by the inner threshold (4) the energy of the field being released mostly as electromagnetic radiation in radio-frequency spectrum, the radiant power and the spectrum being controlled by the short-circuiting speed, achieved in the short-circuiting system in the shape of a conducting key.</p> |
