<p>A method for compensating signal distortion in an emitting payload (GP), said method comprising determining a compensation transfer function (Hc( )) and introducing it within the aggregate response of said payload, the method being characterized in that it comprises: (e) choosing an initial tentative compensation transfer function ([Hc( )]n) and introducing it within the aggregate response of said payload (GP); (f) acquiring an output signal (Y( ), y(t)) of said emitting payload; (g) based on said acquired output signal and on a reference signal (XIdeal( ), xIdeal(t)), corresponding to an expected undistorted output signal, performing an estimation of a residual distortion transfer function ([Hd( )]n) of said emitting payload; and (h) based on said estimation of said residual distortion transfer function, computing an updated tentative compensation transfer function ([Hc( )]n+1) and introducing it within the aggregate response of said payload. Preferably, said estimation is a black-box estimation and said reference signal is generated on-purpose, and is not measured from within said emitting payload.</p> |
