IFNAR2 MUTANT, ITS PRODUCTION AND USE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mutant polypeptide of the β-chain of the type I IFN receptor and having a prolonged effect of IFNβ in vivo by enhancing the affinity for interferon β (IFNβ) compared to the wild type protein.

SOLUTION: Provided are an IFNAR2 mutant polypeptide (MIFNAR2) having enhanced affinity for interferon β (IFNβ) compared to wild type polypeptides by mutating a specific amino acid residue of the amino acid sequence of a type I IFN receptor β chain, or its analog, functional derivative, fused protein, or salt.
