<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly maintain image quality while simply and inexpensively achieving positioning between a photoreceptor and process devices without making an apparatus larger. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided an image forming apparatus equipped with an electrophotographic photoreceptor, flanges for inputting torque to the electrophotographic photoreceptor, and a plurality of process devices for image formation, wherein the electrophotographic photoreceptor includes: a cylindrical substrate; and a deposited layer located on an outer surface of the cylindrical substrate and including a photosensitive layer. The electrophotographic photoreceptor has a first area in which an electrostatic latent image is formed and second areas located on both sides of the first area in the axial direction of the cylindrical substrate. Each of the second areas has an annular inclined surface whose outside diameter becomes smaller as proceeding to the end in the axial direction and a fastening part on which the flange is fastened.
