PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus and an inkjet recording method by which an image of a high grade without peeling or the like on the image surface can be recorded while suppressing the consumption amount of a processing liquid.

SOLUTION: Regarding a pigment ink group which has a good wettability with the processing liquid (having a small contact angle to the processing liquid), the imparting ratio of the processing liquid to a position to which the pigment ink is imparted is made relatively small. In the meantime, regarding a pigment ink group of which the wettability with the processing liquid is poor (having a large contact angle to the processing liquid), the imparting ratio of the processing liquid to the position to which the pigment ink is imparted is made relatively large.
