HEPATITIS C VIRUS REPLICON AND REPLICON ENHANCED CELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a replicon enhanced cell which is a suitable host for the insertion and expression of HCV replicon.

SOLUTION: Provided are a nucleic acid containing one or more adaptive mutations, and HCV replicon enhanced cells. The adaptive mutations are mutations that enhance HCV replicon activity. HCV replicon enhanced cells are cells having an increased ability to maintain an HCV replicon. The HCV replicon and HCV replicon enhanced cell can be used for the production of a cell culture system giving HCV RNA and HCV protein of a detectable level.
