<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a titanium-aluminum alloy with high plasticity and high extensibility, so that an elastic deformation capability of a golf club head is adjusted. <P>SOLUTION: Provided is the titanium-aluminum alloy applied to a golf club head, which contains 88-92 wt.% titanium and 7.5-10 wt.% aluminum, and has an elongation of 8-16%. Minor elements such as niobium, vanadium, molybdenum, chromium, iron, silicon, oxygen, and nitrogen may be selectively added into the titanium-aluminum alloy, so as to form a high extensibility material with a tensile strength of 650-950 Mpa. The gold club head which is formed by using the high extensibility material, for a main body of the gold club head, and combining it with a phase of 6Al-4V-Ti titanium alloy orβalloy of which the rigidity is comparatively excellent, can achieve a golf club head product with good hitting sense, excellent in damping capability, and ball controlling capability, and capable of customizing by adjusting a neck angle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
