<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time required for recovery operation from a power-saving mode in an information processor which performs processing in the recovery operation from the power-saving mode to read a control program from a hard disk device and store it in a volatile memory. <P>SOLUTION: In transfer to the power-saving mode, a first hard disk device 20a storing a control program is set to a low-power idle state, and a second hard disk device 20b not storing the control program is set to a sleep state.
