<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable computer which has enhanced strength and heat dissipation. <P>SOLUTION: A system case 11 includes an electronic device. A keyboard assembly 17 is disposed on an upper surface of the system case 11. A palm rest 19 is formed of synthetic resin to cover a portion of the upper surface of the system case. An intermediate member 23 has design portions 23a, 23b and 23c covering at least portions of a peripheral portion of the keyboard assembly and a support portion 23d disposed below the palm rest. The design portions of the intermediate member exhibit a function for design and the support portion 23d exhibits a function for strength, so the member is integrated to reduce the weight and thickness.
