PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear motor excellent in assembleability, and to provide a driving mechanism using the linear motor, and a component transfer apparatus. SOLUTION: Linear guide stoppers 2c1, 2c2 arranged on both ends of a rail 2a unfailingly prevent sliders 2b1, 2b2 from coming off out of the rail 2a. The slider 2b1 is engaged with the guide stopper 2c1, so that the movable base 4 is attached on the slider 2b1 while the movement of the slider 2b1 is regulated, i.e. the relative position of the slider 2b1 of the movable base 4 is not displaced, and thus, the attaching work is facilitated. The same is a (-Z) side slider 2b2 in this point. As this result, the assembleability of a linear motor LM is extremely excellent. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
