PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator, a motor, and a recording medium drive which can be downsized and also which can reduce magnetic loss, thereby being able to improve magnetic efficiency. SOLUTION: The stator includes a stator core 11 comprising: a circular part 21 which is arranged to face a permanent magnet rotating around its axis and is formed annularly around the axis; a plurality of teeth pole sections 22 base ends of which are fixed to the circular part and which are formed to extend in a radial direction that goes to the permanent magnets at every specified angle; and tip sections 23 which are formed at the tips of the plurality of tooth poles and face the peripheral face of the permanent magnets. In the stator, coils are wound on the teeth sections of the stator core. The stator core is constituted by concatenating split core pieces 31 in each of which at least one tooth pole is formed, and magnetic fluid R is arranged in a space 25 which is formed at the junction between adjacent split core pieces.
