PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an insertion and pulling out property, and an impact resistance property, for a magnetic disk device mounted in electronic equipment in a state capable of insertion and pulling out. SOLUTION: The buffer mechanism is provided with: a pair of left and right rail materials 3A, 3B which are constituted of an upper plate, a lower plate, and a side plate, and which constitute a guide rail housing a magnetic disk device so as to be inserted and pulled out; a first elastic member 5 holding the pair of left and right rail materials 3A, 3B in electronic equipment, in a floating state; and a second elastic member 6 which is arranged in a notch part 32a notched at the lower plate constituting the rail materials 3A, 3B, and in which when the magnetic disk device 2 inserted into the rail materials 3A, 3B is swung with the rail materials 3A, 3B resisting to elastic force of the first elastic member 5, swing motion of the magnetic disk device 2 is absorbed by elastic force.
