PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cash collection device hardly causing a situation that coins exceed a permissible amount of a storage and overflow when storing the coins inside a cashbox in the storage part inside the device each time the fare box cashbox is set and performing coin collection. SOLUTION: When collecting the coins inside the fare box cashbox 2 by a cashbox unlocking device 8, a cashbox unlocking device controller 51 acquires the number Mkk of the coins inside the cashbox from the fare box cashbox 2 before making the coins inside the cashbox flow into the unlocking device, and thereat vacant capacity R of a coin storage bag in a designation state and the number Mkk of the coins inside the cashbox are compared. At this time, the coin storage bag is successively used when all the coins inside the cashbox can be stored, and a coin storage destination is changed over to a vacant storage bag when, contrarily, the vacant capacity R is insufficient. Thus, the cashbox unlocking device controller 51 decides whether a vacant space of the coin storage bag is sufficient or not, and thereafter starts operation of making the coins (including bills) inside the fare box cashbox 2 flow into an unlocking device body.
