The method involves limiting a torque (Mist) of an electric machine to a torque threshold value after a voltage value (Uist) or a current value of an electric machine exceeds a preset voltage threshold value (Umax, Umin) or a preset current threshold value. The torque threshold value exists when the voltage value or the current value corresponds to the preset voltage threshold value or the preset current threshold value based on regulation or controlling of the machine. The regulation or controlling of the machine is taken place by power electronics attached to the machine.
