#CMT# #/CMT# The device (1) has a housing part (16) partially surrounding a spinning nozzle (19) with a spinning cone (24) tapering against a spinning direction. The housing part is radially spaced from the cone to form a circular cladding gap (4) between the cone and the part. The housing part has blow air nozzles (23) subjected to compression for producing circulating air flow. The gap is downstream to a plane, in which the air flow initially withdrawing from the nozzles impinges the housing part surrounding surface, where the width of the gap increases suddenly and is in the range of 0.5-3 millimeter. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Air-jet spinning device for use in production of yarn. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The sudden increase of the width and the cross-section area of the cladding gap precisely reduces the axial flow speed of the air flow behind the stage forming the cladding gap, so that the replaced fibers remain directly in the area behind the stage and the fiber ends looped around the spinning cone exerts sufficient turn for obtaining high firmness of the yarn.
