<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MC-CDMA code diversity communication system for wireless LAN/OFDM, which can improve an interference suppression effect by applying code diversity on a frequency axis to an OFDM/CDMA (MC-CDMA) system. <P>SOLUTION: In a transmitter 10, a spreading system created by the sum of a plurality of code systems is multiplied by digitally modulated data, signals are rearranged on the frequency axis by a serial-parallel converter 14, and the signals are rearranged on a time axis by an inverse Fast Fourier transform circuit 15.
