<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, wherein a paper tray cannot be pulled out while a waste toner box can be taken out or is taken out. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has: an image forming means including an image carrier; the paper tray for storing paper to which a toner image formed on the image carrier is transferred; and a waste toner box for storing toner removed from the surface of the image carrier after the transfer, and is constituted so that the paper tray and the waste toner box are disposed adjacent to each other and can be taken out in the same direction from an image forming apparatus body. The apparatus includes: an outer door for covering the front of the waste toner box; and a locking means, which is driven according to the opening/closing movement of the outer door, for restricting the drawing of the paper tray and canceling the restriction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
