<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera including an image display device for turning OFF the power source of the image display device when the movable image display device is built in. <P>SOLUTION: The camera is provided with a liquid crystal monitor 11 having a display surface 11a for displaying images such as a live-view. This display surface 11a can be set selectable in the position opposing to the rear surface of the camera body 1 and the positions in the directions other than the opposing position. Moreover, the camera is also provided with an illuminance sensor 15 for sensing external light in the same direction as that of the display surface 11a of the liquid crystal monitor 11. When the display surface 11a is changed in the setting to the position opposing to the rear surface of the camera body 1, the liquid crystal monitor 11 is controlled in accordance with an output of the illuminance sensor 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
