PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyarylate excellent in heat resistance and also in electrical properties. SOLUTION: This polyarylate is composed of (A) bisphenol having a cyclohexane ring structure, (B) bisphenol having an isopropylidene skeleton and (C) an aromatic dicarboxylic acid, and has a chemical structure represented by formula (1) (wherein R1-R7 are a hydrogen atom or a 1-4C alkyl group, and m:n=10/90-90/10). The polyarylate has inherent viscosity (ηinh) of 0.45-1.00 dl/g, a carboxyl value of ≤30 mol/t, and a glass transition temperature of ≥200°C. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
