PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for reducing the processing load for evaluating singing of Karaoke. SOLUTION: In a marking microphone 10, a guide melody of a musical piece is radiated toward a singer according to the beam control of a speaker array. A singing sound signal generated in the microphone 12 is subjected to echo cancel processing related to wraparound sound of the guide melody, skill of singing is evaluated based on the comparison with the guide melody in an evaluating part 112, and a modulated wave is generated based on data showing the evaluation result. Meanwhile, sound signals showing a Karaoke accompaniment and singing sounds are also generated, and the modulated wave, the Karaoke accompaniment and singing sounds are mixed in a mixing part 18. The modulated wave is extracted from the generated signal to thereby play Karaoke sound of the signal and display the evaluation thereof. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
