PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet-embedded rotor which is small in leaked magnetic flux between magnetic poles and is excellent in accuracy of peripheral form and is inexpensive. SOLUTION: This permanent magnet-embedded rotor, where a plurality of permanent magnets are embedded, includes a rotor core 2, which includes a magnetic flux shielding section that prevents the leaked magnetic flux between embedding holes 2a provided near its periphery, permanent magnets 3, which are embedded in the embedding holes 2a, and a rotating shaft 4, which is installed in the shaft hole 2b of the rotor core 2, and the rotor core 2 is clamped by the adhesion of the permanent magnets 3 embedded in the embedding holes 2a and the interference fit of the rotating shaft 4 installed in the shaft hole 2b.
