PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive image reproducing device that quickly displays image data recorded in a portable memory medium. SOLUTION: With the image reproducing device, a control part 110 supplies address information of a storage area of a file path of a file in an area 151 to a control part 120 if data obtaining is requested by a user via the control part 120 and the requested file data exists in a memory part 150; the control part 110 reads main image data and thumbnail data from a memory medium 200 and sores them in areas 152 and 153 respectively and supplies address information of the file path storage area of the requested data in the area 151 to the control part 120 only if there is no requested data in the memory part 150 under the condition of the main image data and the thumbnail data stored into the areas 152 and 153 respectively from the memory medium 200 per registered file after the control part 110 has registered the file path in the portable memory medium 200 into the area 151.
