The gas turbine has a compressor, which has a set of shovels. A running-in layer (6) is connected with a fluid supply device (17). The running-in layer is provided with liquid flow through an opening (7). The upper layer (8) of the running-in layer is made of a liquid-tight material. The upper layer is facing the shovels. An independent claim is included for a method for running-in of free end areas of a shovel of a compressor of a gas turbine.
