<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate a skin color with high precision. <P>SOLUTION: This skin color evaluation method for evaluating a skin color from an image including an input face region includes: a division step for dividing the face region into prescribed regions based on first feature points configured of at least 25 places preliminarily set for the whole face region of the image and second feature points set by using the first feature points; a skin color distribution evaluation step for generating skin color distribution, based on a mean value by using at least one of L<SP>*</SP>, a<SP>*</SP>, b<SP>*</SP>, C<SB>ab</SB><SP>*</SP>, h<SB>ab</SB>in an L<SP>*</SP>a<SP>*</SP>b<SP>*</SP>color coordinate system, the respective values of tristimulus values X, Y, Z, and RGB in an XYZ color coordinate system, hue H, value V, chroma C, melanin quantity, and hemoglobin quantity, and for evaluating a skin color based on the measurement result; and a screen generation step for displaying the measurement result or the evaluation result on the screen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
