METHOD OF REDUCING ALIASING PRODUCED BY SPECTRAL ENVELOPE ADJUSTMENT IN FILTER BANK OF REAL NUMERIC VALUE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved technique for spectral envelope adjustment.

SOLUTION: A new method of improving performance of a spectral envelope adjustment device for a filter bank of a real numeric value is proposed. As specified in the invention, a gain value for adjoining channels is adaptively fixed based on a sign of a channel, and thereby, reduced aliasing is achieved. Moreover, grouping of channels under gain calculation gives improved energy estimation of a sub-band signal of the real numeric value in the filter bank.
