<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller avoiding the problem that traveling becomes difficult when a first electric motor and/or a second electric motor cannot normally operate during motor traveling, in a power transmission device for a hybrid vehicle having an engine, the first electric motor, and the second electric motor. <P>SOLUTION: When the first electric motor M1 and/or the second electric motor M2 cannot normally operate during the motor traveling, the engine 8 is started when possible, and a differential part 11 is brought into a differential restriction state, so that a driving force source is changed over to the engine 8, and the traveling can be continued by engine traveling to avoid that the traveling becomes difficult. The differential part 11 comes into the differential restriction state, and the engine traveling is executed, so that the traveling can be continued regardless of failure of the first electric motor M1 or the second electric motor M2 in the engine traveling. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
