MOUNTING METHOD OF ELECTRONIC COMPONENT, AND SURFACE MOUNTING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting method of an electronic component correctly image-recognizing positions of respective position reference marks attached to a board by separately imaging the plurality of position reference marks by a plurality of cameras; and a surface mounting machine.

SOLUTION: In this mounting method of an electronic component, (1) the respective board recognition cameras are respectively moved to respective preset camera photographing positions A and B on a base to take images of the position reference marks Fa and Fb located in the vicinities of the respective camera photographing positions; (2) errors of real photographing positions with respect to the respective camera photographing positions A and B are calculated; and (3) the positions of the position reference marks Fa and Fb on the base are recognized based on the respective image data at the respective camera photographing positions A and B obtained by the photographing and the errors, and the mounting position of the electronic component to the board is determined in accordance with the recognized positions of the position reference marks Fa and Fb.
