PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge device and a hinge device of a folding door which are improved in operability by reducing the variation of the biasing force applied from a torsion spring thereto. SOLUTION: The torsion spring 30 acting, on a lower door 16, a biasing force in the direction in which the lower door 16 is opened through a lower base 23 is interposed between an upper base 21 and the lower base 23 of a center hinge 17 which are rotatably connected to each other through a hinge shaft 29.
