<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for operating an internal combustion engine capable of providing a favorable exhaust emission value. <P>SOLUTION: This invention relates to the method for operating the internal combustion engine including an ignition device, a fuel supply device, and a revolution speed detection device. In the operation method controlling the revolution speed "n" of the internal combustion engine, which has an allowable limit revolution speed n<SB>g</SB>and a cut-off range A of revolution speed higher than the allowable limit revolution speed by deactivating ignition in the cut-off range A, ignition in the cut-off range A is controlled by deactivating ignition in individual engine cycle in which revolution speed "n" is higher than cut-off revolution speed n<SB>a</SB>in the cut-off range A and synchronizing rate (ASR) indicating the rate of the ignition total number and the number of engine cycles in which ignition is deactivated in the cut-off range A is adjusted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
