PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a printing time of an N-up printing scheme in a multifunction device. SOLUTION: A printing device performs reading operation for reading an image from a document multiple times to capture a plurality of images and prints the plurality of images at prescribed positions on a medium, respectively (performs so-called N-up printing). In such a case, before completing the plurality of times of reading operation, printing of read images onto the medium is started. Accordingly, a printing time can be shortened.
