PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a sound emitting apparatus which can faithfully reproduce inherent sound radiation resulting from surface vibration of a musical instrument. SOLUTION: The sound emitting apparatus has a diaphragm, a holding unit of the diaphragm, an exciting unit which excites the diaphragm by an audio frequency signal, and a cabinet containing them. Moreover, it controls a vibration mode of the diaphragm by providing a dynamic characteristic control unit which controls a dynamic characteristic of the diaphragm by limiting or suppressing a vibration amplitude in a predetermined position of the diaphragm, and faithfully reproduces sound radiation inherent to the musical instrument. The dynamic characteristic control unit suppresses or limits the vibration, adds a mass to the diaphragm, changes a spring rate, or attenuates the vibration by a vibration attenuator. Moreover, the diaphragm is pressed and fixed from the front and rear both sides in a point shape, a line shape, and a plain shape, and permits only vibration whose pressing point becomes a node of the vibration. The exciting unit is one of a magnet driving type using a voice coil, a static driving type using an electrode, or a mechanical driving type using a magnetostrictive element.
